Armando Baietto, Sebastiano Battiato and Beppe Bianco
were trained at the Turinese school in the second half of the 20th century. They showed particular attention for the characters of places and the values they express, in landscapes and architectural heritage. Since 1994, Armando Baietto has been a lecturer at the Department of Architecture and Design (DAD) of the Politecnico of Turin. The firm has been constantly taking part in competitions and exhibitions for years, and has been awarded with titles and prizes: Venice Biennale, in 1996 and in 2006, Milan Triennale in 2005.The most significant results, however, have been achieved since 1990, with the new layout of the Central Library of Architecture at the Valentino Castle.
Among the most recent works and projects: the recovery and expansion of the Basic Village industrial complex, the Cineporto for the Torino Piemonte Film Commission, the realization of the new headquarters of the International School of Turin (IST).
The firm is also involved in the restoration project of Palazzo Gualino in Turin, a work by Giuseppe Pagano and Gino Levi Montalcini. Their monograph has been published in 2013, for the Tipi di Electa, in the Documents of Architecture series.
